Gaming isn’t officially an addiction, but ex-gamers say otherwise

There is no formal diagnosis of video game addiction, said Dr. Thomas Finn, a Southington psychologist. In some ways, it’s similar to the addiction to television parents were worried about decades ago.

Officially, it’s not an addiction.

Devon Mathews, 27, of Meriden, plays Kinect Adventures for XBox 360 in his friend’s apartment in Meriden on Friday January 21, 2011. Mathews, who was addicted to video games, playing Fantasy Star online between 60-70 hours a week 4 years ago, sold all of his video game consoles and gave up playing about 3 years ago.

1.2M RuneScape Players Vote To Restore PvP, Free Trade Features

News: RuneScape referendum restores content

Historic – hope they had the Cameron. Gigantic old browser MMO RuneScape has witnessed an unprecedented act: a referendum to reinstate Free Trade and Wilderness to the game.
